Craven Clinic Podiatrist, Corrine Dickson, offers a service to help tackle those painful heel, hip and knee problems, with a biomechanical assessment.
Biomechanical assessment is an investigation into your lower limb musculo-skeletal system and its function, looking closely at any abnormalities or compensations within your lower limb and can look closely into the underlying possible causes of heel, hip and knee pain and even lower back pain.
During the assessment a static and dynamic assessment is made to diagnose any abnormalities.
Once a diagnosis has been made a plan of exercises or orthoses (specially made devices for you to wear inside your shoe) or a combination will be recommended.
Orthoses will control, realign or cushion the abnormalities and in turn reduce symptoms, orthoses are designed to support, align or improve the function f the feet and lower limbs during gait.
Foot-care treatments are personalised to each patient's needs. Corrine is an HCPC registered Podiatrist, also a member of The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists.
Rest assured that you are in safe hands.
Appointments available Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and some Saturdays.
A routine 30 minute chiropody treatment price is £25, biomechanical assessment is £50.
