Coping with the pressures of our busy lives can feel overwhelming at times and can leave us feeling there is little time or space left for ourselves. When something additional or unexpected happens, it can become increasingly difficult to manage day to day activities and we may feel we are no longer in control. This could be due to:

  • work stress or redundancy
  • relationship breakdown
  • loss or bereavement
  • symptoms of anxiety, depression, lack of motivation
  • family issues
  • past issues that repeatedly return and affect how we feel

You may feel burdened, lacking in energy and out of your depth. This is the time to act and get some support for yourself so that you can continue to do what you need to do. Counselling can help you to look at things differently and to identify what needs to change. It can enable you to make informed choices and regain balance in your life.

Deciding to come to counselling is the first step. This can be a difficult decision – we tend to be quite good at minimising our problems or just hoping things will improve on their own – sometimes this is the case but sometimes it is not and ignoring the signs and symptoms that we are not coping can make matters worse.

Identifying what you would like to work on will be worked out between us in the initial session. Although goals may change, it is generally helpful for us to work out our focus from the outset. I can offer short or long term work to suit your needs.

I am happy to have a chat over the phone if that would be helpful, please feel free to give me a call. All e-mail and phone messages are confidential and accessed solely by myself.

Standard prices £45 for a fifty minute session. Concessions may be available.
