BLAST®

What is BLAST® ?

The BLAST® (Bi-Lateral Analysis and Simulation Treatment) Technique was developed by respected UK Psychotherapist, Nick Davies, to help clients suffering as a result of trauma or PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) and it can make a hug difference to the way people feel.

Neuroscience research shows that normally, sensory information moves between both brain hemispheres and is stored as memory if it isn't traumatic. In people with trauma or PTSD, an overactive right hemisphere disrupts this process, causing everyday events to trigger feelings of distress, flashbacks, intrusive thoughts or nightmares as if reliving the trauma.

The BLAST® Technique uses bi-lateral movements with a light pen and targeted suggestions to help clients reprocess trauma, enabling them to remember the events without experiencing any physical or emotional reactions.

Although we tend to associate the terms 'Trauma' and 'PTSD' with extreme situations such as war or abuse, many other experiences can be traumatic for people, and the BLAST® Technique can be used to treat issues such as;

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • A traumatic birth experience
  • Addictions & Cravings
  • Phobias
  • Experiences of bullying
  • Relationship break ups

It can also be used to discover any root cause of feelings or emotions.
